Who is the Holy Ghost?

The Lord is that Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:17)....

Truth that exalts God as One is always truth! For God is one and there can be but one God.

Here in 2 Corinthians Jesus Christ is represented as "that Spirit."

Therefore Jesus could honestly say I will send the spirit to you and also say I will come to you and be in you (John 14:8) and of course "he" did, at Pentecost.

The Holy Ghost is called, the Spirit of Jesus ( Ph 1:19) or the Spirit of Christ ( Romans 8:9) The Spirit of the Lord ( 2 Corinthians 3:17) and "His spirit" ( I John 3:13).

The Holy Ghost came upon the prophets, we read that the "spirit of the Lord" came on them. And we also know that the apostle Paul said that God revealed things to him by "HIS SPIRIT" ( I Corinthians 2:10) so the same spirit that came to the prophets and spoke to them was the same spirit that came to the apostles and enlightened them. The Same Spirit, the spirit of the Lord or the spirit of Jesus.

Paul said if the same spirit that rose Christ from the dead dwell in you. Yes he had the same spirit as the prophets which came on them. The self same spirit.  In 2 Corinthians 3:17 the Holy Ghost is called the Lord and Jesus as we well know is called Lord over 900 times in scripture. This shows that the Holy Ghost and Jesus are one

The Lord is that Spirit!

There can only be one Spirit.

Every man has a spirit. When Jesus breathed on the disciples it was a symbolic gesture of him coming to them and living in them "I" will come to you. At Pentecost this was fulfilled. He came to them and he comes to us. This clearly reveals That the Holy Ghost and God are not two separate spirits and neither does the Spirit of Jesus make it three. There is but one spirit who is "God" himself.

Spirit is not a person, a spirit lives in a person. The Holy Spirit is God. God (who is spirit) in Christ reconciling the world unto "himself." What Joy it is to know the one true God. One is substance, essence and nature, manifesting himself as Father and Son and Spirit. One person in three roles of office. What Joy it is to know him as the apostles and prophets did, One God and God as one.

Is there a God beside "me" yes there is no God beside me: I know not of any (Isaiah 44:8) "I" (singular, one) am the first and "I" am the last and beside me there is no God  (v6) I am the LORD and there is none beside me, there is no God beside me ( Isaiah 45:5).

No more idol worship.

No more man made theories and mysteries.

The Holy Ghost is God. Jesus is Emanuel God with us. The LORD is that Spirit

Doctrine, Go Shake Your World With It!

FACEBOOK has its doctrine.….Doctrine contrary to popular opinion, is not legalism. Doctrine is just the working essentials for getting things done. Facebook has it, Twitter has it and so have you.

Doctrine determines:-
...... Identity, ...... Authority ...... and ability

Who you are, what you can do and how you can get a good job done.

The next time someone suggests that they no longer preach doctrine, make a suggestion, suggest that they quit teaching, because they are unable to see who you are, what you can be, what you can do or help you get a good job done. The apostles filled Jerusalem with their doctrine and shook the then known world. Twitter too has its doctrine and has shaken the cyber-world.  Facebook  took their doctrine and evangelised the web. Which forces me to pose the question, isn’t it time the church got back to doctrine? sound doctrine, the apostles doctrine, then maybe we too can evangelise the human world as much as Facebook has cyber-world

What’s your doctrine?

Paul.
(Acts 2:42, 5:28).

Stepping over the Edge

On the third day there was a wedding at Cana. Jesus was invited and they had run out of wine. His mother said to his servant,
“whatever he says unto you do it.” Jesus told the servant fill the water pots with water, Jesus turned the water into wine and then said to them, “draw out now and bare unto the governor of the feast called the bridegroom..then he said you have kept the good wine until now” (John 2:11-10).

LIMITS! some are limited financially others spiritually others physically. Limit’s are sometimes self imposed by what we believe about ourself, our ability or our God. Our beliefs limit our miracle and minimises the experience of others. Our intimidation limits our interaction. The tradition of the crowd mocks our ability to perform miracles and so nothing radical is accomplished and nothing that’s memorable is ever regarded as a miracle.

Heres are 10 Ways to Breaking the Limits and stepping over the edge, this year.

1. Challenge the limits others have set themselves and make a call to greatness
2. Narrow the zone of comfortability widen the zone of risk
3. Make yourself the topic of gossip. Online if you’re not gossipped about, you’re not saying anything
4. Challenge your own boundaries
5. Instead of having a great day every day, add a resurrection day every third day.
6. Instead of being the master of everything be a servant to the one
7. What you have given is a blog what you are about to give is revelation
8. Instead of writing blogs, pour out truth that others get drunk on.
9. Instead of pouring out water, pour out wine.
10. You keep the best to last but what you give away is always the best you have.

It’s your time for stepping over the edge.

Paul.

Christianity or Religion?

Recently I've have started  blogging on Wordpress, I have noticed the growing trend in folks blogging about their concerns with the church as a religion that has lost its way. Many are claiming to still want Jesus yet they are through with religion, but is it possible to have Christ yet have nothing to do with religion? Even Charisma magazine brought out an article recently on this recent trend.

This weeks Podcast episode entitled "Christianity or Religion giving you the other side of story, live on  PREACHLOUD Podcast

Why was Jesus Baptised?

Here's my response to a blog by Tim on ldstalk.wordpress.com Tim is passionate about witnessing to LDSaints. His parents were missionairies to the Phillippines and his blog is certainly worth a visit.

.... To me, Jesus picture of baptism was an example to us of how salvation was to come. He was first called a "Son" at his baptism, and  so are we.  As you state, he was "sinless" and he was also God, hence he did not need to be baptized but his baptism was a visual aid of how we too become Son's of God.

As you know, John baptised unto repentance but Jesus said to baptise in his name (Matt 28:19). In the book of Acts all who were baptised took on his "name" at baptism (Acts 2:38) and so were called "sons," Just as Jesus was called "son" at his baptism we become son's at our baptism when we take on his name. Jews come into the family at Circumcision we enter his family through baptism. We as sons take on the father's name too, and so are baptised into his name (Acts 2:38 10:44-47).   All who were baptised in Acts were born of "water and Spirit." The two elements present at Jesus baptism. This then is the new birth where all men are born of "water and Spirit" (John 3:5) and so become sons of God.

What happens to Jesus happens to us. The spirit descends and the water washed away our sins
(Acts 22:16). Jesus is our model as Sons.

Paul.
