Doctrine, Go Shake Your World With It!

FACEBOOK has its doctrine.….Doctrine contrary to popular opinion, is not legalism. Doctrine is just the working essentials for getting things done. Facebook has it, Twitter has it and so have you.

Doctrine determines:-
...... Identity, ...... Authority ...... and ability

Who you are, what you can do and how you can get a good job done.

The next time someone suggests that they no longer preach doctrine, make a suggestion, suggest that they quit teaching, because they are unable to see who you are, what you can be, what you can do or help you get a good job done. The apostles filled Jerusalem with their doctrine and shook the then known world. Twitter too has its doctrine and has shaken the cyber-world.  Facebook  took their doctrine and evangelised the web. Which forces me to pose the question, isn’t it time the church got back to doctrine? sound doctrine, the apostles doctrine, then maybe we too can evangelise the human world as much as Facebook has cyber-world

What’s your doctrine?

Paul.
(Acts 2:42, 5:28).

Stepping over the Edge

On the third day there was a wedding at Cana. Jesus was invited and they had run out of wine. His mother said to his servant,
“whatever he says unto you do it.” Jesus told the servant fill the water pots with water, Jesus turned the water into wine and then said to them, “draw out now and bare unto the governor of the feast called the bridegroom..then he said you have kept the good wine until now” (John 2:11-10).

LIMITS! some are limited financially others spiritually others physically. Limit’s are sometimes self imposed by what we believe about ourself, our ability or our God. Our beliefs limit our miracle and minimises the experience of others. Our intimidation limits our interaction. The tradition of the crowd mocks our ability to perform miracles and so nothing radical is accomplished and nothing that’s memorable is ever regarded as a miracle.

Heres are 10 Ways to Breaking the Limits and stepping over the edge, this year.

1. Challenge the limits others have set themselves and make a call to greatness
2. Narrow the zone of comfortability widen the zone of risk
3. Make yourself the topic of gossip. Online if you’re not gossipped about, you’re not saying anything
4. Challenge your own boundaries
5. Instead of having a great day every day, add a resurrection day every third day.
6. Instead of being the master of everything be a servant to the one
7. What you have given is a blog what you are about to give is revelation
8. Instead of writing blogs, pour out truth that others get drunk on.
9. Instead of pouring out water, pour out wine.
10. You keep the best to last but what you give away is always the best you have.

It’s your time for stepping over the edge.

Paul.

Christianity or Religion?

Recently I've have started  blogging on Wordpress, I have noticed the growing trend in folks blogging about their concerns with the church as a religion that has lost its way. Many are claiming to still want Jesus yet they are through with religion, but is it possible to have Christ yet have nothing to do with religion? Even Charisma magazine brought out an article recently on this recent trend.

This weeks Podcast episode entitled "Christianity or Religion giving you the other side of story, live on  PREACHLOUD Podcast

Why was Jesus Baptised?

Here's my response to a blog by Tim on ldstalk.wordpress.com Tim is passionate about witnessing to LDSaints. His parents were missionairies to the Phillippines and his blog is certainly worth a visit.

.... To me, Jesus picture of baptism was an example to us of how salvation was to come. He was first called a "Son" at his baptism, and  so are we.  As you state, he was "sinless" and he was also God, hence he did not need to be baptized but his baptism was a visual aid of how we too become Son's of God.

As you know, John baptised unto repentance but Jesus said to baptise in his name (Matt 28:19). In the book of Acts all who were baptised took on his "name" at baptism (Acts 2:38) and so were called "sons," Just as Jesus was called "son" at his baptism we become son's at our baptism when we take on his name. Jews come into the family at Circumcision we enter his family through baptism. We as sons take on the father's name too, and so are baptised into his name (Acts 2:38 10:44-47).   All who were baptised in Acts were born of "water and Spirit." The two elements present at Jesus baptism. This then is the new birth where all men are born of "water and Spirit" (John 3:5) and so become sons of God.

What happens to Jesus happens to us. The spirit descends and the water washed away our sins
(Acts 22:16). Jesus is our model as Sons.

Paul.

10 Questions to ask yourself for 2012

Will my life count in 2012?

Here are ten questions to ask yourself today!

1. Am I the topic of gossip?

2. Who am I dissapointing that said I didnt have what it takes!

3. Five years from now, will I still talk about this moment? What memories will I create to make sure this moment is talked about forever?

4. Can I explain why Jesus is God to a heretic, confess him as God to a Jew and explain why he's God in the flesh to a Muslim.

5. Who can I bless that I would rather curse. What problem exsts in the world that God has called me to solve or be part of the solution?

6. Who benefits from me being around?

7. When was the last time I used my faith to tackle something big? and what dates have I available to tackle bigger giants.  I will have a GIANT DAY once every three months where I shall think big, do big things, talk big dream big. pray big give big...all day long.

8. What's are my unique strengths. I wont work on my weaknesses i'll just make my strengths so big  that my weakensses won't be noticed.

9. Who can I show compassion too?  What sort of life can I live that's not about me?

10. What books have I yet to write.

"I told my friend Pastor Sonny a few minuites ago that every man should write a book so that when he's dead he can still preach. Think of Jesus he wrote a book. Why dont you? You may be saying, "I'm not good enough!" The issue is not, are you good enough the issue is you cannot die with what belongs to another, you cannot take to the grave with that which belongs to me... Give your gift away!..."

.... Have a super 2012

Restore thy brother

Thou restoreth my soul (Psalm 23:3).

Today's Godly leader is a restorer of the brethren. He is one who binds up breaches and puts back together again those whose lives are broken down by calamity.

In our familes, many of us have seen the devils rampage as he has tried to divide and conquer our sons and daughters. we have seen brethren fall and slip while so called friends looked on and criticised. But God is restoring again that which was once broken. Personally I believe real faith is exhibited by men who have the capacity to restore. It's a fathers spirit to see his sons and daughters restored again and serving her lord.

Thou restoreth my soul. How much is your brother worth? Does his soul count what are you doing to bring him or her back to the place of grace. Jesus is a restorer, are you?

Is your goal for 2011, to bury it or repeat it? Reverse it or release it. Resurrect it or let it die?

So may I ask whats your plans for 2011?

I like what Paul said, "forgetting those things which are... I press toward the mark for he prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Phil3:13,14)NKJV

The Incarnation, Jesus or God?

I enjoy Holy Culture .net and always get a blessing by the lyrics, tenacity and boldness of some of the artists.  Scott Moore done an article on the Incarnation. It's well worth a read.  I'm not sure of Scott believes that Jesus became flesh (triniarian view) or of he believes that God became flesh (the apostles/prophets view) its something that many don't bother with these days.

Does  it matter who became flesh? Of course, The catholic church became the world's largest church because they knew the issue mattered! And Jesus himself was crucified by the Jews because he claimed to be the messiah "God." and to him that mattered. Further, the bible says "they that know their God shall do exploits." Knowing him matters and I'm sure it matter too to you!

By the way, here's my comment....

"Great Post....The Father becoming a Son so that we could become sons of the Father (Isaiah 9:6) ...may 2012 be an incarnation for you!" read more on http://holyculture.net/blog/2011/12/26/the-incarnation

Original of fake gospel!

Religion has always been religion. Just not the way we've practiced it.

The apostles had a faith that was new to the Jew and Gentile. After their death what was Christian become Catholic with a new twist.  Now most Christians follow an Catholic doctrine which they label as "Christian." The lines have become blurred. How do you know you're practicing religion or Christianity anymore. You don't! The only thing that can determine whether one's faith is authentic, is to compare it not to the tradition of the crowd but the tradition of the few, the apostles!

How to socially market your product.

1. Be social about networking.
2. Connect daily to those in your network whatever network you are on and build awareness of you and your brand.
3. Find the customers who will love your product. Having "friends" is one thing what you need to survive and thrive is customers, not just friends.
4. Build customer awareness. Are your contacts aware of your product? Have you shown them the benefits of purchasing your service? Do you periodically bring your products to their attention?
5. What edge do you have over other competitors that sell a similar product? If you can't  name one look for our competitors, study their service then list a service you can offer that they don't. If you cant list one create one.

You have to be known for your edge!
